DogAid Australia is launching some new national campaigns and programs. These include "Adopt a Dog" where we will assist people in Australia to find homes for unwanted dogs and puppies. Quite often people find themselves in situations where they can no longer take care of their beloved pet but don't want them to be put down, sometimes people move into places where they cannot keep pets, other times people make the wrong choice and buy a pet not realising that they cannot give them what they need. This is where we jump in and help find good homes for them working with animal welfare networks . See "Adopt a Dog" Page for dogs that need homes. Hot Doggies - This campaign is about educating people in Australia to remember not to leave doggies in hot cars especially over summer months where cars can heat up very quickly. The important thing to remember to alway leave windows down in the car if you are taking fido with you.
Guard Doggies - How often do you drive past car dealerships, car wreckers, junkyard, and see guard dogs and wonder if they have appropriate shelter food and water and good place to sleep, do you think about their existence living with little human contact, isolation, often fly bitten in summer months, chained day and night in some cases. We don't need to have security/ guard dogs in today age of technology we have enough surveillance systems that are a far better deterent. Why must these poor animal continually be put into these conditions and have to suffer. This must end and we need your help and support to make this happen.
